Fran Elliott

From a young age, I have always had a strong interest in painting in acrylics, but was drawn towards the watercolour as it allowed me to further express myself. I love the translucency and fluidity of watercolour and how it allows me to use many techniques to create texture in my paintings. The challenge in watercolour is to know when to stop and let the medium take over making a successful painting appear effortless.

I enjoy interacting with art patrons and other artists about the creative process and technique applied to create my paintings. I have had my art displayed at several local exhibitions including the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Carnegie Gallery, McMaster Innovation Park, Dignam Gallery, Toronto, Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, WAAH exhibits, DVSA's annual auctions as well as at local charity fundraising events and private collections.
